Compost mingle

Compost
11/10/2017

This month’s activity is a compost mingle that we’re going to do on our Information Evening. The idea is to increase the biodiversity of your compost by mixing micro-organisms from different gardens.

The rule is simple:

  • Before the Members Talk: bring a container full of your own compost or worm castings (eg in an ice-cream box) and tip it on a tarp that we’ll set up in the Tuggerah Hall.
  • Sandra will then mix everyone’s compost.
  • After the Members Talk: collect the same amount of compost that you contributed. Take it back home and put it back in your compost/worm farm. You will get an incredibly rich soil.
