Guest speaker: Jen Jones
It is with great delight that we have Jen Jones with us this gathering. Known as The Dreaded Kitchen Witch on Instagram and Pickles Patch on Facebook, Jen recently joined PCC but you would think she has been here for years due to her warmth, knowledge and generosity.
Jen is in charge of the seed bank and she has been doing an amazing job cataloging and sorting what seeds are needed and what are in abundance. When it comes to sharing knowledge, produce and help Jen is at the forefront.
There are many organisations she is a part of but close to heart is her own local community of Chain Valley Bay. It is there you will find Jen has contributed plants and seeds from her garden and meals for the locals as well.
While Jen has many talents as a pickler, herbalist, cook, crocheter (she has made the most beautiful crochet piece that will be going into the raffles either this month or the end of the year!), food preserver, mushroom grower, baker, brewer, permaculturalist, garden enthusiast and more, her talent for growing from seed and collecting seeds is truly inspiring.
Jen comes highly recommended from our permaculture leaders on the Central Coast and we can’t wait to pick her brain.
Bring a chair to sit as there is limited seating.
We will also be facilitating a produce share and the seed library and encourage you to bring along some goodies to share such as cuttings, plants, seeds, and garden produce, including any items that you would like to contribute to our reintroduced monthly PCC Raffle! We hope to see you there!
We meet on the 3rd Sunday of the month in different outdoor locations across the Central Coast from 2pm to 4pm during Eastern Standard Time, and from 3pm to 5pm during Daylight Saving Time. Children are welcome
