Environmental Concerns facing the Central Coast

Guest speaker: John Asquith from CEN

John will speak at the April meeting on the role of CEN, and Environmental Concerns facing the Central Coast, including the implications of the “Fair Go” Campaign. 

John Asquith is a retired Engineer and Executive who worked in the water,
energy and telecommunications sectors. Much of his working life was spent on
major infrastructure projects and their economic, social and environmental
impacts.

He has been involved with volunteer organisations ranging from surf
lifesaving and bushfire to environment organisations during most of his
adult life. He has held many volunteer positions including a 10 year term as
Secretary of the Nature Conservation Council of NSW.

John is the Chair of the Community Environment Network (CEN) an organisation
devoted to sustainability and the Central Coast Marine Discovery Centre at
Terrigal devoted to marine and coastal education and enjoyment. Both
organisations have built multiple partnerships with other organisations to
further their aims.
