What is permaculture

Permaculture was introduced by Bill Mollison and David Holmgren in 1978 when they published the book – Permaculture One. Permaculture is essentially a design system based on three ethics and a set of principles that when applied, can lead to much better environmental outcomes for the planet and all of its inhabitants (human or otherwise), and ultimately, a truly sustainable future.

Permaculture is more than growing organic food, it is more than gardening, in fact it is much more than that. It is essentially a lifestyle choice – a way of thinking and being, of living in harmony with your surroundings………it is ecologically sustainable and importantly – a simplistic, logical and practical approach to life.
