Espalier Trees and Edible Gardens at Narrara
Join us on Saturday, 28th September 2024 in Narrara to help Dianne get her permaculture garden ready for spring!
Dianne’s garden is in a small suburban block, full of edible plants and fruit trees. We will be pruning, transplanting, planting and shaping trees into espaliers, to make good use of the space available.
This garden is a good example of how much is achievable in a small suburban block.
We have a variety of tasks planned that are suitable for all skill levels:
- Setting up espalier systems for fruit trees
- Weeding and preparing garden beds
- Planting a diverse range of herbs and vegetables
- Mulching and soil preparation
- Pruning and plant relocation
You’ll have the chance to work on different areas of the garden, each with its own unique challenges and learning opportunities.
Important Notes:
- This event is limited to 15 participants due to the garden size.
- Vegetarian and GF Morning tea and lunch will be provided
- Carpooling is encouraged due to limited street parking.
