Guest speaker: Suzie German
In this interactive talk, Suzie invites you to creatively explore the possibilities, as she shares her perspective and experience with foraging useful plant materials. As a permie bush regenerator, environmental educator and edible flower grower, Suzie has worked all around the Central Coast, Sydney and North Coast of NSW, on public and private land, in urban and rural settings. This has allowed her to observe and interact with many weeds and opportunistic plants. From chance finds of known edible plants to exploring the history and traditional use of commonly found weeds, she delves deeper into exploring the margins of what we forage, why we should and when. The focus of Suzie’s approach is to apply creative interaction with abundance, whilst being guided by permaculture principles.
