This month’s topic is “Learn how to grow mushrooms all year at home.” This talk by Clara Roza from Claras Urban Mini Farm will focus on how to grow delicious oyster mushrooms in a small space with an easy-to-use system anyone can follow. Mushrooms are a highly nutritious food that can be produced all year round with minimal inputs, chat to Clara about how to get started. Bring along some cash if you wish to purchase ingredients on the day.

Wyoming Community Garden team are in the process of making a special garden for their Reconciliation weekend on the 28th/29th May. They would love donations of native and bush tucker plants if you have any to spare

There’s a toilet on site. Paths may be a bit slippery and leeches have been spotted in the rain. There is limited parking on site. Please don’t park in the Scout Hall car park, you can park across the road and in side streets. There is quite a bit of covered space with tables and some seats, but please bring a folding chair if you can. You may like to bring a hat, umbrella, water, and snacks if you need them.

You are welcome to explore the beautiful community garden after Clara’s talk. We will also be facilitating a produce share and the seed library and encourage you to bring along some goodies to share such as cuttings, plants, seeds, and garden produce. We hope to see you there!
