September Gathering at Wyoming Community Centre

Join us at Wyoming Community Garden to learn more about sustainable building and renewable energy. Our guest speaker Geoff Cameron will talk about designing new buildings in sustainable ways and retrofitting existing buildings including rentals.  What to expect:

Speaker: Geoff Cameron

Geoff has a Masters in Applied Science from UNSW and has had careers in food technology, biotechnology, IT and, for the past ten years, in designing and building Narara Ecovillge. Along the way Geoff built his 8.8 Star hempcrete home as owner builder and is now head of the Water and Sewer utility at the ecovillage and a director of the electric utility company which runs the village smart grid and is the energy retailer there. Geoff is a regular tour guide at the monthly village open days and hosts one day each term for the Permaculture course at Gosford TAFE. Geoff will share some the learnings they have gained over the last ten years in sustainable house design, construction and retrofitting, natural building materials, energy efficiency and renewable energy for your home.
