Worm farm leachate, worm juice, worm wee, worm tea, whatever you call it, some simple guidelines on how to use it;

Fresh is best. Gone are the days when we decanted it and put it in the garden shed for months. It’s about the micro-organisms too, so I always ensure I pour any liquid back through the worm farm to “enliven” it.

Dilute it. It’s important to dilute it before using it. Forget the ratios, the leachate from each worm farm is going to vary depending how often you circulate liquid through the worm farm. The best guideline is dilute it until it looks like weak black tea.

Apply it as a foliar spray, too. It is beneficial.

Use it. There has been some discussion recently about whether the leachate is valuable and helps plants grow. You be the judge. Observation is our key to success as gardeners (and as human beings too). Do a side-by-side test and use it on one garden bed and not the other. Do you see a difference in plant health and vitality?
